  9. I'd disagree. All alliances are alliances. If you're upset with their announcements, use in-game means to handle it. Stop running to Alex to fix all your "problems" Thalmor. You could easily have ET hit all these plebs and issue a "No OWF" directive. Since this can be solved with in-game actions, no.

  10. Well, The Island might be considered a micro in terms of score and alliance rank, but it's held together better than most alliances around it in score and it's connected to some big names. It's just one of those grey areas that would have to be worked out... which is something we can discuss in this thread.

  13. He quickly messaged me to clarify on this, that nation was his brother's and because of the 3 day limit on deletion, he wasn't able to delete the nation. Looking at both the nations, he didn't break any rules other then not running multiple nations and because he quickly responded to me and owned up on it, I will just be giving him a warning for now while deleting the other nation. I will also be keeping an eye on his main account and it will promptly be banned if I catch even the slightest bit of activity that may be multi-ing. He did handle the situation incredibly poorly, but I don't really see that as a reason to ban him. If I notice anything else going on it will result in a permanent ban though, thank you for the report.

Now that it's *current year*, all the cool kids in Orbis know that ground forces are for boosted-up noobs and pixel huggers who probably just log in to buy credits every month. Not us in the No Tanks Gang though, we rule these mean streets like Sheepy God intended, with beige and airpower. REPRESENT!

  32. At this point it seems more time efficient to just book in a regular appointment time for our spheres to beat the hell out of each other, so no one needs to waste time plotting (Or getting log dumped). Don't forget to book in to your nearest Bank for a healthy dose of rebuilding loans. So upside down, and with half the toppings missing when I ordered some Pizza a few nights ago?

  34. This suggestion is to remove the (10 day) timer to build a national project. I'm of the opinion at this point that it doesn't really add anything useful to the game. All it effectively does is slow down the growth of smaller nations, which isn't something that I think is necessary at this point. But, I'd like to gauge the community's thoughts. Feel free to react to this post (upvote/downvote) as an indicator of your feelings, and reply with your comments. Thanks!

  35. Micros are literally playing a whole other game and don't have a clue whats going on. Its almost like two separate dimensions. Point is, two separate games, two separate forum sections. This is definitely a must.

  36. Hrm. I've been thinking about this for a bit, and I'm going to have to make a few counter-arguments. First, defining a micro by top 45 is highly limiting; for a start you've got Arrgh sitting pretty right there in the 'micro' tier at #46*. And otherwise relevant alliances that get rolled might end up dropping below that threshold. Would threads about rolled alliances need to be moved by moderators or by an automatic script as necessary? That seems counterproductive to me, but what other options are there? We could extend the threshold downwards, but then the utility diminishes anyway. Second, what about protectorates? Or using micros as mercenaries? Bank alliances? Just because an alliance is tiny doesn't mean that they're not relevant to somebody, somehow. And even if the announcement doesn't have anything directly to do with a non-micro alliance, maybe it's sponsored by a big name or guaranteed or something. Heck, by that logic there's not a single announcement on the first page of Alliance Affairs right now that wouldn't belong there under your system, since all those micros have treaties or protectors in the top 45. Third, putting micro announcements into a containment board means that their announcements aren't given the same level of exposure as an established alliance. That's a problem on many levels, not the least of which is that their initial growth and their ability to escape the micro ghetto depends in large part on their visibility. Recruitment is hard enough for an alliance that can't say "we're literally #1 in this/that/otherthing so join us", so making it just that much worse for growing alliances isn't a good. Furthermore, what if they get dec'd on and rolled? Are they to ineffectually scream into an unobserved board about their plight? If they got hit by a large force then the argument can be made that the announcement is relevant by association to the larger force, but lacking either, then they're even less likely to escape the micro ghetto their low score has sentenced them to. I do realize that it really doesn't matter that much when tinyalliance renames themselves into microd*ck, and it's bothersome to have to check on the off chance that maybe it does, but implementing this suggestion would only cause more problems IMO... and honestly, it wouldn't even solve anything in the first place. *arguments about Arrgh being relevant these days or not are tangential to the point

  38. Step 0.5: Join an existing alliance and learn the politics before branching out on your own. Learn who are the influential actors are in the current world politics of the game, and talk to them for advice. Learn the game too, because you'll be teaching your future members on "how to play".

  39. Micros with little to no political sway or relevance have been making threads in Alliance Affairs for a long time. These micros tend to be quite powerless, and disband fairly quickly. It's annoying to see all their threads clog up Alliances Affairs. I don't think micros that are almost completely irrelevant should have their threads alongside the threads of powerful, relevant AAs such as The Syndicate, or Black Knights. Even a simple government change within the top 30 will have more impact on the game within a short period of time than what most micros accomplish their entire existence. Micro alliances should have their own subforum in Alliance Affairs. That way, the announcements of larger, more inpacting alliances can be easier to find and less clogged up with pointless threads. Micros can still make their announcements, of course, and even have the added benefit of not having to compete for attention over the announcements of larger alliances which overshadow them. As for what defines a micro, I think any alliance outside the top 45 is fairly reasonable. Maybe we can have a discussion on that. If Nation Affairs can have 3 subforums for... whatever reason, then I don't see why Alliance Affairs can't have a subforum to keep the irrelevant micro announcements from the announcements of fairly powerful alliances that'll still be around in 3 months. Counter arguments are welcome. Maybe I'm wrong about something. Maybe I'm not seeing a bigger picture. Let's have a discussion.

  41. As my nation makes the transition from industrial based to commerce based industry, and i begin to combat disease, crime and pollution within my cities, i noticed my commerce cities usually end up with -40 pollution, my industrial based cities have some pollution but no more than 30, and my nation in theory has enough garbage infrastructure to cover the cities that do not have trash collection. i see this as a way to produce some more commerce as in real life cities can sell these services to each other, i.e tax revenue. now im not saying trash production buildings should produce cash, what im saying is what if we allow the cities with free pollution space, to sell that to cities that currently have pollution. This could establish an entire trash industry in game where nations can sell their extra trash capacity to other cities not only within their nation but on their continent. For example My City of San Juan has -26 pollution index, my city of Ponce has +16 pollution index, the game admins can establish how much 1 index is worth, but San Juan could sell 16 pollution index to Ponce, gain a commerce bonus to the city/ maybe provide some revenue, drop to a -10 pollution index, and Ponces Index would fall to 0. to keep fairness and balance, the commerce that San Juan gains, Ponce could potentially loose, basically transferring wealth between cities. This system could be implemented for all nations or per nation based depending on what the admins feel best suits the game. This is just my suggestion as i noticed i do have the capacity in other cities to handle the trash i just dont have the system available to establish trash industry. The game admins could also add a chain of special events due to this new add on, Unions for example, organized crime, trash influxes due to celebrations, or even a potential event of "waste land" to occur where you have to condemn 1-2.5% of your land due to the amount of imported trash. maybe add a Moth Ball option for Tanks, aircraft and ships, itll cut military upkeep for these units, however unit effectiveness is severely hampered so if you have units set on mothball you start out with -1 War points and the enemy gets +2 because of your disorganization. these are some of the crazy ideas i thought id throw out there, and im not hopping that the game changes just off my suggestions, these were just some minor cool quirks id personally roll play and have alot of fun with if you guys allowed it. I didnt want my ideas to only have positive bonuses so i suggested some cons but im sure my fellow players can suggest many, many more. I mean, We have a Baseball industry, and i know trash collection is going to always Be an industry that Nations will always and forever need. This could be a nice way to create super mega rich cities, of course if i Expanded San Juan and increased the pollution index, to say positive 1, while i was also importing someone elses or another cities trash, then the chances for the wasteland event to occur could increase significantly from a flat base rate of 1.5% every turn, up to 35% unless the player can solve the problem quickly enough.

Można by dodać projekt otwarcia granic, w którym będą budowane budynki dla imigrantów z innych krajów. Cena projektu to 10 000 000 i 500 stali. To dałoby wzrost populacji o + 1,2%.

  43. To avoid moderation issues and basically just stupid abuse of the Beige system, I'm proposing what I believe is a minor gameplay change that will really only impact people trying to abuse the system. My proposal is simply this: If you have declared an offensive war in the past 24 hours, and someone defeats you in a war, you do not get any Beige time. I am talking a strict, actual 24 hour limit, not based on turns or the midnight update. I think this will eliminate any capacity for abuse like we've seen, without sharply diminishing Beige's role as a comeback mechanism for players that have really been defeated (and aren't trying to engage in additional offensive wars.) Let me know your thoughts, and unless there are some major complaints, I will have this implemented live shortly.
