  1. 05/16 08:38 am - Reubenia applied to join the alliance The Commonwealth. 05/16 08:36 am - Reubenia left the alliance Pantheon. Hey look. Another ex-Pantheon in tCW trying to smear shit on his old alliance because... why actually? Until a month ago you were a part of Pantheon. Any incompetence you try to ridicule them for pretty much implicates you for the exact same. Please knock off the temper tantrum boys. It's unbecoming. @Felkey control your grunts please.

  8. Although the space allotted here can't possibly suffice to elaborate in detail on the long list of Thalmor's hotheaded agendas—including the patronizing, the incontinent, the ethically bankrupt, and especially the uncongenial—I'll use what little space I have to love the Earth and everything that flowers and crawls upon it. For the sake of review, Thalmor has been deluding people into believing that the government should be beholden to special interests, campaign donors, and lobbyists. Don't let him delude you, too. I've run into some distressing examples of confirmation bias among his plenipotentiaries. For instance, they insist that Thalmor is a martyr for freedom and a victim of chauvinism. Interestingly, though, they fail to notice that Thalmor has boasted publicly that he intends to spheterize other people's belongings. It's one thing for such toxic ideas to be conceived in the clandestine meeting places of international terror organizations but quite another for them to be promoted as Thalmor has, out in the open. This development lends credence to my claim that Thalmor can't fool me. I've met predatory, unconscionable backstabbers before so I know that Thalmor's coalition is not a cultural or religious assemblage, as Thalmor purports it to be. Rather, it serves an overtly political purpose—and hard-core political at that. Every time Thalmor tells his companions that all it takes to start a rabbit farm is a magician's magic hat, their eyes roll into the backs of their heads as they become mindless receptacles of unsubstantiated information, which they accept without question. If anything will free us from the shackles of his despicable jobations, it's knowledge of the world as it really is. It's knowledge that Thalmor has been breaking the mind and spirit, castrating the character, and killing the career of anyone whose ideas he deems to be argumentative. Alas, Thalmor doesn't stop there. In fact, he can't stop there because he's determined to disprove that he has a strategy. His strategy is to abandon the idea of universal principles and focus illegitimately on the particular. Wherever you encounter that strategy, you are dealing with Thalmor. Sticky-fingered, lecherous misers like Thalmor are not born—they are excreted. However unsavory that metaphor may be, it's irrelevant that my allegations are 100% true. Thalmor distrusts my information and arguments and will forever maintain his current opinions. He intends to create a new social class. Incomprehensible, parasitic showboaters, lethargic, careless practitioners of tokenism, and bookish luftmenschen will be given aristocratic status. The rest of us will be forced into serving as their compeers. I hope I haven't bored you by writing an entire letter about Thalmor. Still, this letter was the best way to explain to you that Thalmor's comprehension is weak and his understanding is minimal.

  9. It's been a long road... For reference, that's 20,000 aluminum 15,000 gas 15,000 munitions $30,000,000 Which is surprisingly cheap, considering that with those missiles I have... -Beiged active targets that had more military than me and full battlefield control -Waged and won no less than two separate alliance wars singlehandedly -Destroyed almost ten thousand steel worth of military units alone (missiles that hit factories in nations with full tanks will destroy a factory and all 250 tanks inside, and missiles that hit drydocks in nations with full ships will destroy a drydock and all 5 ships inside, this has happened dozens of times each) -Destroyed about ~70,000 infrastructure off missiles alone (missiles average 350 infra damage per shot). -I have almost never shot a missile at less than 1000 infrastructure cities, but if we assume that my missiles landed on at least 1000 infrastructure cities, then this represents $232,869,226 minimum in infrastructure damage alone. It's almost certainly much closer to a full $500 million. -Managed to ensure that no nation that has ever attacked me has ever managed to walk away with profit A big thank you to TRF for hosting my 199th and 200th missiles through declaring "attrition" wars against me; I couldn't have asked for a better way to start the war. And of course, another big thank you to TKR and friends for sponsoring this conflict so I could finally reach this milestone. You guys are the best ❤️

  12. Episode One - Pilot (theme song) A young mate, brown hair and with casual wear on was relaxing in his room. He was alone so he could do anything. He continued feeding his nictine addiction which he got young and was staring at his phone, checking some forums he was on. In came a messanger, an imaginary friend of his. It was a robotic metal beign with a large humane eye as a head. It dropped a note saying "Sir, your nation needs you, your people need you, rise up to the defence, an air strike is bombed and everyone you love, your pixels will be gone. Sir, your war stats are at stake." With fury and determination he did what everyone would do. He plugged out his phone from the charger and turned to the other side of the bed. The young person opened an application on the phone and was in haste.A few clicks and a smile appeared on his face while a large army of soldiers alongside gunfire has been heard in the distance. The News made a large broadcast on TV and have shown a large ammount of armoured forces destroyed as well as many airports so the invading army could not use their whole air force. A screenshot was taken and put all over the OCP, Orbis Crusader Papers or as known in the public, KT member discord channels. The enemy was suprised and had no idea how to retaliate on the quick actions of the young leader. He continued using the phone and has gathered intel. The enemy of his is expirienced and is old. Much blood was in the hands of the enemy while the nation of the young one expirienced a lot of inept military acts. The young ruler has traveled the world. Met the blood thirsty Valyrians, went across the snowy hell known as Polaris, twice, talked to the wise Gods of Pantheon, then he was captured and tortured with the most fierce of all psychological weapons, codenamed anime. The Secret torture chamber was left alone without an overseer and the leader ran for his life. The furthest he could go was to the beach with water being his barrier and he had no steel to build a ship to beige the hidden chests filled with resources. Then came by a pirate. It was run by a greek, he knew the Gods of the Pantheon and his name was Ripper. And on board of the ship was a member of the Valyrian Clan, a blue bear. I assume a russian. They got him on board and taught him how the world worked. Few years later (aka like few hours after Ripper told me how to pirate) when his education was finished, he asked his mother for money to buy a ship. She said yes but under one condition. That he will return before sunset, spoiler, he didn't. He traveled the seas, plundering those whom do not know how to handle their wealth. He docked at a port in a land filled with people wearing large onion hats and fezes. As he was buying his supplies for a next adventure, a large trumpt was heard and hundreds of knights on horseback stormed the market. He fled with his ship to a greek island. He met the High Goddess of innocence, Yui. She has accepted the young sailor into the Gods chambers at the top of Olimpus. The Titan as they would like to call her has protected the young sailor and named a flower after the sailor. Then a rogue of a God, russo-jap aka rush b anime, has kicked him off of Olimpus and into Jerusalem where he saw a Towelhead fighting. Well at least the knights didn't forget to bring a towel. The were fighting in heavy armour against the onion hats. The city was filled with war screams that go by 'REEEE'. They are still in the nightmares of the sailor. After the menace came a tea party and the sailor approached the towelhead. He said: "What up Thal, long time no see" "Yo" replied he "So, my ships trashed and the Gods are salty, so wonder if I could hang out with you guys" "Sure, do you attend church ever Sunday?" "No, I am a muslim, not a good one tho" "Well uh.... are you a commie? We are heavily against them" "Ye" "Hmm. You seem cool. You are on board imo. But I do not make the decisions now" "Then who does?" "That guy" finished the Towelhead pointing at the end of the table with a person with short hair, an adidas outfit dancing to hard bass next to a Skeleton. "Great, he is slavic. My culture" and he ventured to the new headmaster and asked for a membership in the Templars. The Headmaster granted him and then the sailor was put on a tree with squirrels for some time. Later he'd be put in an oversized suit of armour and sent into battle. His first expirience of battle as a Crusader were dark. He has been ordered to launch an attack against an Order of assasins and to manually lead the army but he ended up in a dark forest, alo... A cavalryman on a horse went over him and he woke up seeing flags of KT everywhere and the flags of AO were burning with an amass of bodies of some cloaked guys going down the river. He was pushed by an amass of knights going to a hall to hear speechofthetowelheadv3.mp4 but after the first lines of words with unneeded ths at the end of them, the youngster fell asleep again as he was bored to death by Thalmor. After some peace time came back the rampaging onion heads alongside a commune lead by a guinea pig-like creature but to the protection of the Templars came the Wrath of the Steppes. He fought through a lot of lines of bad warriors till a boring white peace was agreed upon. Not so long after that, a new piece of armour was put on otherwise known as a new city. Then he went to sleep. He had a nice dream about unico... ding dong came the world police and masters of bad blitzes and not fighting long wars. Perfect opportunity to fix his war stats. And here now he walks through an empire filled with destroyed machines everywhere. The Young Leader known as Rimski walked out of the city to sit over a cliff close to the capital. Rimski's addiction of speaking in third person continued, nonthenless, he grabbed some things out of his bag. He put on sunglasses even though it was sunset, following them was a leather jacket, a cigar in his mouth. Rimski used his lighter on it, few smokes and he said "When the sun falls I will be 666, next on comes 1337. Cannot wait to tell all my friends and the kids I will never have about my travels." He pulled out a phone as the camera was going away. "Man the wifi here is great. Ooh an another war declared" and everything closed down in a black circle. I was just going to write some post about being 666 days old in-game that probs no one will read but this brought me to an idea when I was mid-writing. Making funny posts that are Templar and Orbis related with 'Friends' factors in it and of other shows. I have not thought of making it friends-like when writing it and I'd do it on a different set-up if you want it. With spacing, an actual plot to the story and yada yada.

  14. TKR is a threat... to Christendom This is Becky Anderson, reporting to you live from the front lines of the war between TKR/TCW/TRF and KT/TGH. In a surprise turn of events, our network has stumbled across evidence to add to the ongoing political debate, this time involving TKR’s own leader. Further evidence from the Nazaraen national fact book corrobates this story. You heard it here first, folks. Adrienne, the leader of TKR, practices a quasi-Islamic faith. Is this the beginning of an Islamic deep state in TKR? Rumor has it that this influence may extend all the way back to Abbas. After all, Adrienne Majid, Abbas Mehdi. Coincidence? I think not. Jury’s still out on how the Knights Templar will respond to this shocking new development. Back to you, Todd.

  16. I think that the in-game treaties signed should be automatically sorted so you have MDoAP on the top, then MDP, etc with protectorates on the bottom. A minor fix just to signify the most important treaties up top, rather than the latest signed. For example BK's just expired so now all our oldest allies sit at the bottom, and its a pain to cancel a bunch and get them in the order you want. This would fix this issue.

  18. Due to the temporary shutdown of non-vital services in Lumia, due to the Lumian Civil War, many STEM university students chose to continue their higher education in the Lambdagrad Institute of Technology until order was restored. A diplomatic communique was sent to Meta Board, expressing Lumia's wish for greater economic and military cooperation. 7 reconnaissance satellites, coated in Vantablack, were moved into position over the Collective's territory to give Meta Board advanced warning of their military activities. Health workers and food supplies were dispatched, so that Meta Board could divert more money to their military. Short-range EMP weapons were mass-produced in the Lumian mainland, to serve as the military's bread and butter for tactical operations.

  19. Featherine doesn't pay us enough to come up with a clever pun for this. Hello. My name is Karin Rokkaku welcome to this month's issue of the Lambdagrad News Channel. We're 1 day late due to technical difficulties with our studio better late than never. But we managed to get that sorted out and here we are. Let's not waste any more time and let's just jump straight into the news because we know that all of you are busy. The Lambdagrad Institute of Technology has changed it's policies The Lambdagrad Institute of Technology has changed it's policies today as the institute will now accept foreign students from around the world after a proposal was passed by Featherine to allow foreign students to get their education. Foreign policies still apply to foreign students that's obvious already. Featherine has released a statement to the Lambdagrad News Channel and she said that "The purpose of this proposal is to provide students from around the world the education they need for tech businesses or etc. We at the Meta Board would be happy to take in those students to educate them for their future". I'm excited to see how this goes for the Lambdagrad Institute. Order has been restored in Hiroshigrad We're happy to announce that the city of Hiroshigrad has been liberated from The Collective after a joint operation between Rokkaku and Meta Board Forces. A strike team led by Hiroshi has successfully retaken the city yesterday as The Collective has been driven away from the city. Featherine has noted that since the death of the leader. The Collective has been weakened significantly, allowing the perfect time to attack. Teams are now preparing to reinitialize the Artificial Intelligence computer that has been locked down since the siege to regain control of the city's infrastructure to rebuild any damage incurred to the city itself. People who were forced to leave the city will be allowed back in when Authorities give the all clear. This is a big win for Featherine and Hiroshi and this is one giant leap closer to eradicating this organization for good. A word from Featherine Hello my name is Featherine. I've come here to address the people of Orbis. You see the world is seen better days so i'm calling out to you to make a difference. Join us in the campaign in eradicating The Collective from this planet. Not only you can contribute to the positive outcome of humanity's future but destroying the very organization that wants nothing but disorder, chaos, and the complete destruction of the human species would make this world a bit better for every person to live on and our intent is just that. As long as they exist. You, your families and your country is in danger of them. They will attack anyone indiscriminately. You've seen what they've done to one of the Meta Board's cities. Think it over. We hope to see other leaders join the Meta Board's cause.

  20. I was only around briefly when the new war changes rolled out. But I've considered missiles an interesting circumstantial weapon depending on a lot of factors. If conditions favor missile spam it can do very strategic damage that I'm sure a lot of people underestimate. Congrats on the 200th milestone.

  31. Thanks man! Missiles are strong; very strong actually. A lot of people don't get that. Sure, they don't do as much upfront damage as a nuke or 1000 aircraft, but consider this: The aluminum costs the same as 33.3 aircraft, the money costs the same as 37.5 aircraft, and the munitions and gas cost the same as using those aircraft about 9 times each, if there aren't any losses. So, what can you do with 34 aircraft over 9 separate attacks? Not very much. (Duh). Even if the opponent doesn't have an airforce to counter that anemic level of air power, you're looking at, best case scenario, about 200 infra damage and no destroyed improvements. Maybe a couple broken ships or tanks, and a couple thousand dead soldiers. And if they've got an airforce, rip. Meanwhile, for the same resource expenditure, and a quarter of the military action points, you can deal a solid 350 infrastructure damage to a city of your direct choosing, and on top of that the missile is guaranteed to destroy an improvement of a type that you choose! And if the target has full tanks and you hit a factory, or full ships and you hit a drydock, then you've destroyed a good chunk of steel. 250 steel if you're lucky enough to hit a filled factory, 125 steel if you hit a filled drydock. Even Iron Dome doesn't really counter missiles as much as people think, because even if you consider missiles to be statistically 50% effective, you're still doing an average of 175 infra damage per city and one improvement per two missiles invested. Were missiles some kind of considerable expense, sure, it wouldn't be worth it, but even a nation as unapologetically and objectively crap as mine is still producing almost all of the resource cost of a missile every day off my own domestic production. (I'm low on the gas side. Didn't have time to fill out Piratia, oh well.) Most importantly, nothing stops the missiles. Not spies, not blockades, not air superiority or ground control, not paper, not hegemony, nothing. When you're ZM'd and waiting for your beige, it's a thing you can just do. And it works, even off of a miniscule warchest and even if fighting opponents a hundred times your size, it works. Just don't try and stockpile them; build them when you can use them and they won't be spied off... probably. Though even if they are, spy operations are almost more expensive than the missile itself anyway ? No time like the present! The salt when someone gets missiled and they weren't expecting it is the greatest. Some of the best salt I've gotten out of people was when they raid me and try to extort resources out of me; when this happens I always tell them "I will give you 100 aluminum, 75 gas, 75 munitions, and $150,000 for peace". Good times, good times ?

  38. I may have suggested this before. But we do war quite a bit. We don't trade like we could and it's kinda outdated imo. So my suggestion Is. Alliances tarrif other alliances. Example being TKR puts a 5% tarrif on Pantheon. Any Pantheon nation buying goods from TKR has to (automatically of course) pay 5% more on the sale price of goods. This could be a neat thing to add to war terms as an ingame political tactic. We have nation Embargoes. We should have tarriffs. Also some way we can (encourage) trade amongst allies or in alliance members Say a 3% Ally discount or 5% Alliance discount. Where you pay a reduced price for the goods to better encourage trade
    1 point
  39. I personally think you don't understand the point of tariffs in general, nor the point of them in a setting like PW. Forcing people you don't like to spend more on resources, by you putting tariffs on them, is a simple but logical tactic. Especially, if, say, you are Rose, putting tariffs on NPO. NPO is well known to have outstanding debts already, you're just spitting on their shoes now. Don't be so close-minded, think in-depth about how this would affect relations, before saying its pointless. Two people who have, both think you're missing something. That's 66%, maybe reconsider that.

  40. Following the lowering city cost discussion, I've been doing some considering about how to help new players catch up in the game and ease new player growth, which I know has been made a lot harder since I scaled back the effects of resource and commerce improvements about a year ago. This is a pretty simple plan that doesn't involve lowering city prices, and should basically only affect new players. Step 1: Eliminate New City Timers to City 10 (From Current City 5) This is pretty straightforward. Right now, you don't need to wait for your city timer for buying cities 2-5. I'm proposing to expand that to cities 2-10. This should make new players' growth faster, so that they can catch up to a point where they are relevant in the game, which should improve player retention by reducing feelings of impossibly slow progress. Step 2: New Player Income Bonus This part involves adding a new bonus to the game for new players. This bonus would not exist past a nation being 60 days old, or having 10 cities, and would diminish as a nation bought additional cities. The idea is that new players are awfully poor, and it's hard to invest in growth at really low levels. By increasing their income, they can invest into themselves and grow faster initially, without impacting later growth. This bonus would be a 100% gross income bonus for nations less than 60 days with 1 city, and would decrease by 10% for each city added. For nations older than 60 days, there would be no bonus regardless of number of cities. This bonus scheme should not really encourage people to sit at low city levels to collect the bonus, as the benefit of adding another city always outweighs staying at the current bonus level. It's honestly a pretty modest increase, but I think it will help new players find their footing and not be so strapped for cash in the beginning of the game. Here are some numbers I ran, the Average Daily Income figures are the averages currently in the game per city count. What isn't shown is how players using the New Player Bonus would build additional infrastructure, etc. boosting their income beyond just the bonus amount, etc. Take it all with a grain of salt. So, what I'm hoping is that everyone will kind of like this modest suggestion, and then I can throw it in the new game, we'll improve new player fun and retention, and everyone will win. Feel free to use the Upvote/Downvote option the forum offers to indicate your favor/disfavor, but please do consider the merits of the suggestion before blindly voting the way someone else told you you should. And of course, offer your feedback, and if you think you have a better idea, please just create a new topic/thread so we can keep the discussions separate. Thanks!

  42. I'm not actually faulting Zodiac for stepping in. I do fault The Royal Dragons for asking, however. Moreover, what I fault Zodiac for is ignoring the way The Royal Dragons is operating. Zodiac is not showing any remorse for or even recognition of The Royal Dragons' complete ineptitude and failure to even try to follow through on the promises they made to their members. Right now, you are making it clear that you don't care about The Royal Dragons' members, only your own image. Neutralize my spies if you must, but you can't stop a missiler. Side reply to side note: Why the HELL would I join an alliance like yours, or TRD? I won't pay you taxes so you can sponge off my abilities and offer me less than nothing, and treat me as less than dirt. I raid anyone I like, at any time, for any reason. And yes, I get raided on a constant basis... and always respond with at least one missile, while my opponents never make any kind of profit. I care not what I lose, I care what my opponents gain, and as long as their net profit stays below zero then I'm happy. As for my bank, here ya go
