I'd like to start by saying this is not directed specifically at current events, but a trend that current events are an example off. Often times the side who is on the defensive end of a war having been attacked inevitably bring up arguments about a "valid CB". To the credit of most participants in the current war it's not as prevalent this time though there have been several comments publicly and others privately made regarding the validity of a the CB used here. I'm not here to argue which side or right, or wrong. I'm here to tell you it does not matter which side is right or wrong. If your alliance is attacked by someone, their reason for it is valid. If their reason was they attacked you for fun, if they attacked you because they had intel you might be plotting against them, if someone insulted you or your alliance. Whatever motivated you and your alliance to go to war is a valid reason for that war. It does not matter if the defensive side considers your reason for war valid in terms of why the war is happening, nor should it be complained about. The only time a valid CB should be considered part of the equation is during the peace negotiations. Should the defensive side pull a victory over their aggressors and they deem their CB as a load of crap, perhaps the peace terms might not be so pleasant. The point is, don't complain that you're being attacked without a valid CB. Just because the reason for the war might not seem like a reason to you, doesn't mean it's not a reason for the attacker. If someone's justification for war is that they believe it might be a good fight, then that is a valid justification for that alliance regardless of if it is for yours. The important thing is to find an alliance who's CB standards matches with yours. If you feel you need a detailed provocation, then find an alliance who follows that general rule. If you want a more relaxed fun based reason for going to war, find an alliance that follows that rule. Good and evil are perspective, validity of CB's are the same. Lots of people, myself included, are guilty of succumbing to the CB blame game. But lets focus less on the reason for the war being valid or not, and focus on generating politics based off the wars. tl;dr CBs are bullshit.

TGH/KT =/= Inquisition. They don't have the lower tier support for that strategy. The 'diminished' infra score is not low enough to prevent down declares. TKR peeps are present everywhere, low and high tier. Once TGH/KT peeps lose their beige protection, they will lose any military they hold. Despite you claiming to be a military oriented alliance, I find it funny that you peeps are dreaming. With more cities and a lot higher score, it is very easy to declare and take down TGH than otherwise. To OP @Mad Max, they are either dreaming or bluffing.

The way I see cb's is, it's what you're willing to be hit over. For example if you hit someone because they talked shit about your alliance, then if your alliance does that and is hit, well then it is only fair. You set the precedent that talking shit is enough to roll someone, you can't be upset about someone else doing it to you.

CB's are PR fluff and PR is all about perception. Ultimately its all about the what individual people perceive to be a just/unjust act that defines whether something is a valid CB or not. Like for example, I would personally argue you need a strong CB if you intend to hit another alliance/s whom you have a large or overwhelming statistical edge over. Otherwise you come across as weak and cowardly. If an alliance/coalition hits a target evenly matched or stronger than them, I don't see any need for a CB. That being said, if you do decide to post one, it better be good lmfao.

To be honest, this needed to be said and the sad part is it will offend people. People will probably post here with significant WoTs pointing out victimization and its real and bla bla. Thank you for posting that. I was honestly just expecting war for the sake of war. Interesting to see a lot of public statements used, and a DM log between two individuals who spoke around before TGH/KT signed a treaty. Yes, I am the leader of my alliance, where was the plot again from my standpoint? I'll still stand by my opinion on the matter that I was quoted on. The developing TKRsphere (tCW having Pantheon merge into them, TKR being at 160+ members, and now TRF joining plus MAGE?), that's becoming a big threat similar to how players, including myself, have painted on Inquisition throughout since their formation. Let alone the sphere still maintaining ex-EMC/Syndisphere ties, and now, being tied to the treaty web once again (EMC/Syndisphere 2.0 developing again, anyone?). (Also lol @ using Kastor's log, but I'm assuming the "bonus" is in humor. It did get Kastor excited.) However, what I'm seeing is that the CB is: "We hate TGH, and KT plotted against our interests." Is this correct? Not that it matters to me, personally. TGH was formed with the understanding of having pixels burned, whether it's ours or any one on the receiving end of us. I think the interesting thing I see here is that TKR is becoming the very thing that was not only stated in those logs (Being a threat, an active one at that - First Nuke Bloc while their allies were occupied, now this), but also becoming the very thing they disliked about Inquisition. While I'm not opposed to any of that (The hit on NB was strategic, and actively warring isn't necessarily stagnation), it's just amusing to see develop.

Just a quick report, still no answer on what was done. Spoke to the man himself today who also had no idea what he did. Bringing you the latest and greatest, real news, real facts, making officials accountable.
