The battle against Betulius was incredible for how brief but devastating it was. Commanders Makaros Taranovi, Jorji Costava, Archdomina Makeda, Cygnar, and Kane were wiped out in an instant and Betulius quickly fled for his life soon after. At the headquarters of the New Radiant Order there was great panic. None of the commanders of the east wished to ride against the Son of Heaven, they were simply overawed at his many glorious victories. General Kriegskoenig was one of the finest in the east and he had been defeated several times, so what hope did they have? Betulius's rapid dispatchment had not helped either. One of Lordship's former vassals however stepped forth. Tiber the Black, leader of the Black Knights so named in his honour. In a raspy voice he spoke to Roquentin, "Lady Roquentin, the Roz is undoubtedly the largest threat on the field and that is why we have avoided him thus far. His uninhibited state however has meant he has overextended, he is getting overconfident, and now we have a perfect chance to strike. Not only that but my Shadow has found a peculiar bit of information, it's odd all right. Something about the Roz being weak to black...? Not sure what it is supposed to mean, perhaps the colour black makes him feel ill? If so then who better than my black clad knights to deal with him? Please my lady, send me against the Roz and there will be results". In his portable pleasure palace the Roz received reports of the mass offensive by the enemy. "Black Knights...? Are they black, as in of complexion? General Heinrich shook his head. "They just wear black gear huh..." General Heinrich nodded his head. "Any women at all?" General Heinrich shook his head. "Well then... I have no time for such riff raff. I must get to dealing with some Radiant Order plots that are about so you deal with them Heinrich. They are numerous but ultimately cannot change the result of the battles here in this region". ===== tl;dr So BK has declared on RW but are too lazy or something to post the announcement, which is cool as I was obviously going to do one too so why have a double announcement?18 points

It's not that they needed help, it's just that so many people wanted to roll you and decided to take you up on your invitation to hit you. Maybe next time don't invite the entire world to hit you? Perhaps you should consider sending individual invitations instead of open ones?5 points

Why doesn't Acadia just legalize raiding of their members? Firstly, its a distinctive point of alliance and cultural identity. Getting raided is an iconic event in Acadia. We can say "there was a mass raid today" and you already know with reasonable certainty which alliance it happened in. It's comparable to saying "some dumb noob made an alliance yesterday"; to say which alliance it occurred in is essentially redundant due to it being a proud allusive icon of the team. Like poor leadership and glorified weakness, it would be delusional to pretend getting mass raided are not a unique figure of alliance heritage to stand out among other IQ aligned alliances. As such, it should be legalised or at least decriminalised in order to preserve this cultural tradition. Secondly, due to the fun nature of the act and the large bounty attached to it, most perpetrators end up getting free loot after partaking in the raid. It is clear from the past statistics that countering will not prevent this fun act, but will instead lead to increased number of hungry nations and compound the already disturbing rate of new raiding alliances in Orbis. Both these figures can be mediated through the decriminalisation of raiding of members. Finally, it seems as if the act of a mass raiding, in a perverse sense, a symbol of unity and bonding that can provide common ground for the traditionally severe dichotomy of Arrgh and Terminal Jest. Through the fun acts of mass raiding committed by both these groups, Acadian members may finally come to realize that the true issue is not which merciless, jealous alliance you pay to not raid you, but rather how much of a delusional schizophrenic you are. This moment of epiphany has the power to break down traditional barriers and allow you, as an alliance, to advance to the top 10 and begin considering more important issues. It just seems as if legalize raiding of members is the right thing to do.3 points

Now, I'm no P&W mechanics genius, but the primary purpose of war has been and likely will be in most cases, the elimination of military. Not the taking of loot, though that is certainly a boon, nor the destruction of infrastructure, which admittedly gives a nice boost to that stat we all love. (In terms of the mechanics, the first step you would take is destroying military. In updeclares, the key resides in exploiting the slow(er) rate of rebuy for planes. It would make sense for Shadow to target planes/ships. Not referring to the removal of political capital) Without spamming you all with screenshots of the timeline, the data of which is open to you too, if you bother to click on the timeline pages, you'll see that Keshav/Shadowthrone, in accordance with the NPO air policy, of which's merit or lack thereof you may debate, has done exceptionally well. So if your point was that he wasn't 'turning up', a term I'm not exceptionally comfortable with but assume refers to 'winning'... he won almost every war in accordance with the objective of killing as many enemy jets. I think Tevron was the only one who dealt more than he received on the air front, actually. Don't know where you're coming from, but maybe that's just me3 points

As we see above, we can at this time confirm that thee, Eva-Beatrice, Imperial Officer of Polaris has not gone back into VM and has finally joined the members she helps govern in the fight. But, Eva was not the only one guilty of dodging the war. We are now waiting on the bank hiding bandit Featherine of Meta Board, another Imperial Officer of Polaris to come out and join the fight. Featherine immediately went into VM to illegally protect the bank as the war started and went back into VM after the first VM timer expired. Come back in 8 days to see if another Polaris government member will willingly join the war that the rest of the alliance has been busy fighting.3 points

That carried over through the Speed Round, Beta, and even today. The oldest nations in the leaderboard page are when the game was released, neither Alpha or Beta.2 points

1. Denial and isolation "My nation was never GPA! If it was, then everybody was GPA!" The first reaction to learning about ever being GPA is to deny the reality of the situation. “This isn’t happening, this can’t be happening,” people often think. It is a normal reaction to rationalize your overwhelming emotions. Denial is a common defense mechanism that buffers the immediate shock of being GPA, numbing you to your emotions. You block out the words and hide from the facts. You start to believe that life is meaningless, and nothing is of any value any longer. For most people experiencing grief, this stage is a temporary response that carries you through the first wave of pain. 2. Anger "It wasn't me! And who is this Naam, and why would he accept such an application?!" As the masking effects of denial and isolation begin to wear, reality and its pain re-emerge. You are not ready. The intense emotion is deflected from your vulnerable core, redirected and expressed instead as anger. The anger may be aimed at inanimate objects, innocent hobbits, complete strangers, friends or family. Anger may be directed at GPA. Rationally, you know GPA is not to be blamed. Emotionally, however, you may resent the GPA for ever accepting you or for leaving you. You feel guilty for being angry, and this makes you more angry. 3. Bargaining "Please Sheepy! Change my nation ID!" The normal reaction to feelings of helplessness and vulnerability is often a need to regain control through a series of “If only” statements, such as: If only I had sought another alliance sooner… If only I got a second opinion from another P&W player… If only I had tried to be a better member toward them, we could've pushed them away from neutrality sooner… This is an attempt to bargain. Secretly, you may make a deal with Sheepy in an attempt to change your nation ID. This is a weaker line of defense to protect you from the painful reality. 4. Depression "I wasted so much time being GPA, yet my nation misses it so much..." There are two types of depression that are associated with mourning. The first one is a reaction to practical implications relating to being GPA. Sadness and regret predominate this type of depression. You worry about consequences. You worry that, in your grief, you have spent less time with others that depend on you. This phase may be eased by simple clarification and reassurance. You may need a bit of helpful cooperation and a few kind words. The second type of depression is more subtle and, in a sense, perhaps more private. It is your quiet preparation to separate and to bid GPA farewell. Sometimes all you really need is a hug. 5. Acceptance. "My nation was GPA." Reaching this stage of grieving is a gift not afforded to everyone. GPA may be sudden and unexpected or you may never see beyond your anger or denial. It is not necessarily a mark of bravery to resist the inevitable and to deny yourself the opportunity to make your peace. This phase is marked by withdrawal and calm. This is not a period of happiness and must be distinguished from depression. Coping with GPA is ultimately a deeply personal and singular experience — nobody can help you go through it more easily or understand all the emotions that you’re going through. But others can be there for you and help comfort you through this process. The best thing you can do is to allow yourself to feel the grief as it comes over you. Resisting it only will prolong the natural process of healing.2 points
