  1. When two full years had passed, Pharaoh had a dream: He was standing by the Nile, when out of the river there came up seven cows, sleek and fat, and they grazed among the reeds. After them, seven other cows, ugly and gaunt, came up out of the Nile and stood beside those on the riverbank. And the cows that were ugly and gaunt ate up the seven sleek, fat cows. Then Pharaoh woke up. He fell asleep again and had a second dream: Seven heads of grain, healthy and good, were growing on a single stalk. After them, seven other heads of grain sprouted—thin and scorched by the east wind. The thin heads of grain swallowed up the seven healthy, full heads. Then Pharaoh woke up; it had been a dream. In the morning his mind was troubled, so he sent for all the magicians and wise men of Egypt. Pharaoh told them his dreams, but no one could interpret them for him. Then the chief cupbearer said to Pharaoh, “Today I am reminded of my shortcomings. Pharaoh was once angry with his servants, and he imprisoned me and the chief baker in the house of the captain of the guard. Each of us had a dream the same night, and each dream had a meaning of its own. Now a young Hebrew was there with us, a servant of the captain of the guard. We told him our dreams, and he interpreted them for us, giving each man the interpretation of his dream. And things turned out exactly as he interpreted them to us: I was restored to my position, and the other man was impaled.” So Pharaoh sent for Joseph, and he was quickly brought from the dungeon. When he had shaved and changed his clothes, he came before Pharaoh. Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I had a dream, and no one can interpret it. But I have heard it said of you that when you hear a dream you can interpret it.” “I cannot do it,” Joseph replied to Pharaoh, “but God will give Pharaoh the answer he desires.” Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “In my dream I was standing on the bank of the Nile, when out of the river there came up seven cows, fat and sleek, and they grazed among the reeds. After them, seven other cows came up—scrawny and very ugly and lean. I had never seen such ugly cows in all the land of Egypt. The lean, ugly cows ate up the seven fat cows that came up first. But even after they ate them, no one could tell that they had done so; they looked just as ugly as before. Then I woke up. “In my dream I saw seven heads of grain, full and good, growing on a single stalk. After them, seven other heads sprouted—withered and thin and scorched by the east wind. The thin heads of grain swallowed up the seven good heads. I told this to the magicians, but none of them could explain it to me.” Then Joseph said to Pharaoh, “The dreams of Pharaoh are one and the same. God has revealed to Pharaoh what he is about to do. The seven good cows are seven years, and the seven good heads of grain are seven years; it is one and the same dream. The seven lean, ugly cows that came up afterward are seven years, and so are the seven worthless heads of grain scorched by the east wind: They are seven years of famine. “It is just as I said to Pharaoh: God has shown Pharaoh what he is about to do. Seven years of great abundance are coming throughout the land of Egypt, but seven years of famine will follow them. Then all the abundance in Egypt will be forgotten, and the famine will ravage the land. The abundance in the land will not be remembered, because the famine that follows it will be so severe. The reason the dream was given to Pharaoh in two forms is that the matter has been firmly decided by God, and God will do it soon. “And now let Pharaoh look for a discerning and wise man and put him in charge of the land of Egypt. Let Pharaoh appoint commissioners over the land to take a fifth of the harvest of Egypt during the seven years of abundance. They should collect all the food of these good years that are coming and store up the grain under the authority of Pharaoh, to be kept in the cities for food. This food should be held in reserve for the country, to be used during the seven years of famine that will come upon Egypt, so that the country may not be ruined by the famine.” The plan seemed good to Pharaoh and to all his officials. So Pharaoh asked them, “Can we find anyone like this man, one in whom is the spirit of God?” Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Since God has made all this known to you, there is no one so discerning and wise as you. You shall be in charge of my palace, and all my people are to submit to your orders. Only with respect to the throne will I be greater than you.”

  2. Royal Palace, 10:00 p.m. "Your majesty you must understand. Doing something like this just as you're about to declare the new budget is going to cause mayhem amongst the people. Not even your mother would do something this reckless!" the old man who spoke Ericson remembered he had kept on from his mother's advisory board. "I would rather deal with now and deal with the fallout in one go than in seperate parts." he said as he looked around the room. The advisory board wasn't big as was tradition with less than ten people and with varying ages although the majority had were more young towards his age as per advice of his mother. "Remember the last time we expanded, it resulted in our nation getting attacked and the people's ire!" the old man went on, pratically out of his seat and looking around, "And I know I am not the only one who is thinking this." It took a while but a few mumbles of agreement, "We only ask that you consider putting the plan on hold. Maybe when things calm down and public reception..." "Public reception has been on the rocks since mother's mistake and the only thing to fix that would be if I gave the people her head and while we're not talking at the moment I do love her to not do that," Ericson said as he then picked up one of the folders he had stacked next to him and opened it, "And I'd rather not wait. Wintery has been too small for too long. Once upon a time I believed that was okay and we didn't draw attention to ourselves. However, that's no longer the case. The cautious attitude mother has had caused our kingdom to be set back not onlyi in technology but also in military might. If we were to go against an actual competent military we would be blown off the map and I would actually like to avoid that. Improving our military an futhering our cyber divison are only small steps, and I believe furthering our extent into Asia will also help us. However, with expansion in Asia by other parties also happening we can't afford to wait." "Your majesty..." "We will do what we always do when we had expanded before. Offer rebuild and pardons to those who tried to stop us." Ericson went on as he didn't look up from the folder he was reading as he went on. It was the report his generals had sent stating the condition of their supplies and ETA of mobolization. A campaign such as this could be possible if they were able to plan carefully, "We will treat them as equal as we did when we expanded west." "I'm sorry Your Majesty, but I must..." the old man tried again. "I've called this meeting as a courtesy and to perhaps hear what I will be expecting from both you and the people," Ericson went on as he closed the folder and stood up, looking everyone in the eye, "I recall when I sat in meetings when my mother was empress that she would stae her mind on what she was to do and the board would simply tell her of the consequences and suggestions on how to deal with it. Now, I believe it's not so hard to ask for the same thing." The silence was heavy for a while, uncertainty in their eyes before one began to speak up, "Well, as always be prepared for the protests..." Next Day, 11:00 am The announcment of the budget would go out and as such anger was immenient with protests already happening at the palace as expected although several military recruitment centers and even Omni Military College were report crowds of protestors outside. With security at the palace, no violence was had but a recruitment center reported their window busted by a brick. Week After 11:00 pm - 3:00 am Those who lived in the South of the Kingdom were woken up by the roar of bombers and fighter jets flying over their heads and into the unclaimed land beyond them. Some who were closest to the border would say they could see the fire and explosions from their houses as pilots took to orders of taking out their targets, which included major cities and certain rail lines. Small towns were spared although those that hosted military or air bases would find them to be blown up. Fighters were assigned to protect the bombers as retalation was expected to come especailly near the border as several pilots would learn the hard way. Meantime, ground troops were expected to be prepared to moblize once the signal was given with the order to secure several towns and rail lines not taken out by the bombers. The plan was to keep going further in under the cover of aerial power until the land was theirs. Five Hours Later Protests again rise up

  5. “Even Castles made of sand, fall into the sea, eventually.” – Jimi Hendrix TL;DR – Mensa HQ is disbanding. Like a sandstorm, Mensa HQ took over in the politics and warfare of PnW in a quick blinding movement that has arguably taken many by surprise and has directly AND indirectly changed the course of the game’s few facets of playing. In our second year of establishment, arguably our prime year, we’ve dominated the scene of military prowess and have held a strong voice (Sometimes an annoying one) in how politics play out. Initially starting off with an aggressive power holding leader in Pfeiffer and eventually going through Vanek then finally Avruch, Mensa has shifted from a villainous role to a more orderly role that wasn’t willing to take bullshit from anyone – both in allies and enemies alike. As a community, we often took the stance that as long as you were honest with us, we would be honest with you – whether you wanted the honesty or not and whether the honesty was good or bad – you got it. We were also quite vocal with our intentions too, afterall, if we wanted a war – it wouldn’t be hard to find out (With an exception or two, coughcough). No gods could best ours, no alliance could hold up to our coordination, and while we may be arrogant with that - we've held it up for a long time. There’s no doubt that many will discredit our effects or even the alliance as a whole, but all I can say is that our allies kept us around for a reason. With that said, I’d like to have some parting words as Mensa’s FA towards our allies and others. In general, each of you that has been tied to Mensa (Including UPN, SK, and BK), have been fun allies to have around. Whether we broke up due to differing perspectives or just wanting to change the game, I’d like to think both sides of the various treaties have learned a lot from the other. Guardian – You guys have been our longest allies. Starting from the horrendous, yet super fun, war in The Great VE War till now, you folks have supported us through everything. It’s crazy how awesome of allies you folks were. I’d say it’s a shame that your alliance had the leaders playing musical chairs, but I’d say it worked out great for you folks when you finally stabilized on Memph – arguably one of the wisest players in the game when he wakes up from time to time. Thank you for being with us from the beginning to the end. Syndicate – What a crazy time we’ve had establishing a dominating sphere huh? From the snek’s political scheming to the rabbit’s insane number crunching skills, you guys were a huge foundation block for our sphere. I’d say you guys have set the bar on how to establish an effective sphere and would beseech everyone who wishes to lead to look at the history of Syndicate’s leaders here. You’d learn a lot from what to do (and what not to do) here. I certainly did from both as a member of Syndicate and an ally of theirs. I have no doubt you guys will continue to succeed in whatever game your community decides to participate in. Arguably you guys have shaped this game moreso than any other in its history. Seven Kingdoms – From Tenages crazy backstabbing plan of Rose to the Gandalf fiasco, we cannot ignore the significant part you folks played in our development. While we may have some bickering here and there, we can’t hide the fact that we do respect a lot of your community. It’s a shame things ended as they did, but we’ve had some interesting times together – whether as allies or enemies. Rose – You know how much effort I had to put in to get a Mensa/Rose tie once durmij approached me about it? A LOT. There were many who weren’t willing to look past the rivalry we’ve had (And yet never fought each other directly for, heh). I’m glad that we finally got to look past our history because working with you guys have been a huge pleasure. Seriously. In the past I’ve mentioned that one of the crucial issues you folks suffered from as a coalition with your previous allies in Paragon and Covenant was the lack of good solid leadership and communication. We’ve seen first-hand how much you guys improved when things changed, both internally and externally. People can argue this, but the evidence is there. It's good to see the potential finally show itself. Viridian Entente – You guys came a long way. I miss the days of Impero’s influence as they were very interesting (And still are with his return, heh), but it seems we were destined to be the actual rivals. We’ve fought each other how many times now? 5? 6? I’d argue more times than any other alliance on alliance fights (Maybe UPN and Syndicate have more battles against each other?). It also seems both of our alliances have suffered from growing inactivity, but we can’t ignore the good fights we’ve had in the past. It’s been a pleasure. United Purple Nations – You guys supported us from the get-go, and for that, we have to hold respect for you on that despite the many, MANY, difficulties both of our alliances have had. I still remember when I was given loads of Munitions from a UPN member and told me to message her if we had any raider issues. That was my first impression coming into this game. I’m not quite sure where the differences began or how they began, but it’s been interesting to be on opposite ends. While I may personally disagree (or even dislike) a few folks you guys have, I still felt genuinely bad when things went south internally for your grand alliance – even though we’ve worked it to our advantages. It was impressive for how long UPN remained the top scoring alliance in the game, and I think you guys still hold that record? With your most recent moves, I hope you guys find stability and return to being a powerhouse. Black Knights – You guys were the most fun alliance to have around, and to even be a part of the BK alliance channel (That time when some people mistook me as a girl was priceless). I loved the theme we had going with the whole Top Gun bit on our treaty signing. Out of war, your channels were full of entertainment. During war, you guys were vicious as !@#$ and willing to take a beating for your fellow allies. While things have drastically changed, the history is unforgettable. Like I stated for our other usual rivals/enemies, I do hope you guys find stability and fix the holes that plagues other’s perspectives on you. You still have immense potential here. The Knights Radiant - Recently there's been some folks who have stated that you don't deserve the #1 spot. I disagree, I think you guys have earned it, but then again - not everybody gets to see the inner workings of your alliance and how your leaders are behind the scenes. The most recent wars and conflicts, you guys have been the hammer to our anvil and it was beautiful watching it in action. In all aspects of an alliance, you folks maintain some of the most necessary means of maintaining and building up an alliance. In some ways, I envy that. Dalinar/IC and Lordship, it's been a HUGE pleasure working with you two. Probably the most trustworthy individuals ever since I've gotten into this role for Mensa. You guys took our calls for honesty and held us to it, even when we had some minor disagreements - you guys listened. It's been great watching your alliance grow and developed. You've taken down notes on what works and what doesn't, and it shows. Pantheon - We were in talks to tie up a treaty and it would've been great, if we were sticking around. You guys have changed drastically since GPA's days and I wouldn't be surprised if you folks reach the #1 spot over TKR. The potential is definitely there to pull it off. In the wars we've fought together, I have been thoroughly surprised by the tenacity that Pantheon's members showed and I don't doubt that you guys will continue to expand on that ability of stubborness to refuse your enemies. Your leaders have been extremely patient with me and very understanding. That shows a strong humble base there that can carry your alliance a long way. THE Coalition - Whenever someone asked me about our sphere, I've always included you guys in the listing of alliances ever since you've supported Syndicate and then later the sphere as a whole. It was great having your leaders in our alliance chats, as they each didn't hold back from giving their opinions on various situations. Along with Guardian, you guys have been entirely supportive of our efforts, even going so far to spend your own money to keep us going without asking for any of it back. Extremely selfless friends and very loyal to the cause. I could go on about our friends and allies, but then it'll be crazy long wall ("It's not already hippo?"). We appreciate each of you for making the game interesting to us, whether as allies or enemies. What I find surprising, and had to hold back from admitting for a while, was our declining status. It was quite the hard thing to actually admit to, especially when you still maintain a strong presence in the political landscape with only 20ish regularly active members as we did with near 80. I think that’s a testament to how much of an impact we’ve had. As it is though, it’s time to hang it up. I’ve given notice to each of our allies. Each of our allies and friends have been beyond !@#$ing fantastic to work with. Thank you to each one of you. “Nothing is built on stone; all is built on sand, but we must build as if the sand were stone.” – Jorge Luis Borges Pride. Power. Pakistan. (Sidenote: Since I know this will be asked, the majority of Mensa’s community left due to radical sudden changes in the game. Many were frustrated with that. It wasn’t the changes themselves, but with our adaptation to the game’s mechanics and then having it change on us shortly after was the most frustrating factor. Whether you agree with that or not, it has clearly showed that some players dislike that. While it has improved recently, it goes to show you what happens when the damage is already done.) (Sidenote #2: I totally considered signing Lordaeron to a treaty then disbanding, but figured that would be too much. Kastor, you’re a riot and I would’ve totally signed your alliance if I could, but many just don’t trust you still. Even I don’t, but it would’ve been hilarious to see what mischief you’d get us into.) Adios Orbis. This is Hippo signing off from FA duties. (Sidenote #3: No I'm not leaving, yet, but some of us are while others are still debating on what they want to do)

  6. I will make a small analysis for those that want to hear it. I want to first concentrate in the new production of a nation. A standar nation with cities with 2k infraestructure used to be able to have 115% commerce and produce at least 3 manufactured resources. the recent changes implemented means, more slots have to be spent on commerce to reach 115%, 5 more if you want 114% or 6 more if you want 115% due to the heavy pollution given by manufactures or raws, you have to be very selective with what you make even if you put 3 recycling centers in the nation. you have occupy a max of 5 manufacturing slots (aslong as you make alot of farms), without farms, I am afraid you ll be using even less slots for manufacture. the norm before the change was to use 9 to 12 slots for manufacture, and the norm for after the change is to have 4 slots. This means manufactured resources will drop 66% to what it used to be. After this war, when our stockpiles have been spent, and we realize how scarce production can be, manufactures will become a very sought out commodity and therefore, it will be quite pricey. My educated guess is that they will triple its market value. What is going to happen with food? food seems to be the most comfortable resource to produce given their low pollution addition, this has provoked that many nations now want to produce it. ofc that its efficiency was nerfed, but with the lack of better options, food has become the new thing in town. We have already seen an increase in food production and the constant drop in market prices, with this changes and seeing as everyone keeps producing it, food will keep going down so my advise is to get rid of your food before its worthless and/or stop producing it. you may ask: what can I do if I can't have manufactures nor food? your choice then would be to move your production to raw resources, but given that raws are now quite heavy in pollution, if you do those, you won't be able to do manufactures. so, given all this facts, I recommend to make 3 to 5 slots in manufactures, a few slots on food (necessary due to pollution) and a few slots on raw resources. if you don't care about pollution and you are willing to lose slots in hospitals to reduce disease you could try more manufacture slots, but that is not a personal favorite. A small advise for the little guys, if you haven't spent alot of money on land and you have it around 2k and are thinking of getting more, don't bother, food will not be as valuable as it once was. I could ofc be wrong, but give me the benefit of the doubt and wait a bit to see if my prediction is right before making any further land investment. Seb, CEO of Emerald Bank

  7. Hello and welcome to The Hungadada Report. In the headlines today: Lionsgate Court: 'United Technologies guilty of Environmental Crimes; Fined $2.5bil' The jury convened after barely 2 hours of debate to provide a final verdict in the long, drawn out legal battle between CEI, local residents and United Technologies of Hungadada, which stood accused of violating over 50 different laws regarding the protection of the environment. From the dumping of industrial chemicals to emissions regulations violations, UTH had done it all, said the prosecutors. But the final verdict would reign supreme, with the damning verdict coming after only 2 hours of debate between the jury. As the jury, made up of 5 men and 6 women came to a decision, jury forewoman Angela Vineleg made the final verdict: "This jury of the Lionsgate Provincial Court finds the defendant United Technologies of Hungadada Incorporated guilty of the 53 charges filed against the company. UTH Incorporated engaged in the shameful destruction of the environment, and while doing so, sought to mislead and misled the public with their so-called "efforts to protect the environment". This jury believes that the maximum penalty should be applied: a fine of a maximum of $2.5 billion, and a jail time of 2 months for the chairpersons of the Board of Directors, the CEO, and all other individuals found guilty in this trial. The judge agreed with the jury, and passed the final verdict: "I agree with the jury, and find United Technologies of Hungadada Incorporated guilty of all charges filed against the defendant. In finding the defendants guilty, I hereby apply the maximum penalty allowed by the law, and hereby fine United Technologies of Hungadada Incorporated a total of $2.5 billion. Furthermore, I sentence those already found guilty to 2 months in prison. Dismissed". The trial itself was a long and at times strange one, with UTH defense lawyers at one time claiming that the company had been the victim of sabotage and that the dumping of industrial acid into the local environment was "corporate sabotage" on part of various other technology companies. Various experts from across the board have repeatedly said that this decision is one that sets precedent for future environment crime decisions. The $2.5 billion fine makes up almost two-thirds of UTH revenue. Meanwhile, local Lionsgate residents celebrated the landmark decision with pomp. Many were pleased that such a large company was seeing the face of justice and being treated to the full extent of the law. Among the many charges brought against the company, at least 12 were related to public health and safety violations, including contamination of water sources and contamination of drinking water sources. A spokesperson for CEI released this statement: "We at CEI are happy to see that the environment is being protected and that those who violate the laws there to protect not only the environment but also the public are being subject to the full extent of the law. The fine money will be used to help finance the large-scale cleanup operations caused by the disregard for the environment by UTH Inc. We thank those who have supported CEI." UTH lawyers say that they are considering their options and may appeal to the Royal Empire Court. -- Military Detachments Sent to TEA Base in Crete; New Equipment Being Researched The DSDH has confirmed to HNS that a military detachment comprising of 2 destroyers, an aircraft carrier, the 42nd Squadron of the Airforce, and the 17th brigade of 2000 troops will be sent to boost TEA forces in Crete. The naval base there was recently renovated for a cost of $50 million so that it could accommodate more military personnel and equipment. The military detachment will boost the current Laurentian forces already there, as well as relieve some of the Med Force also in Crete. The DSDH has called the deployment "needed" not only to honor the military agreements as per the TEA Accords but also to help secure TEA and Hungadadian interests in a volatile region of trade. The DSDH also told HNS that it is working on creating a new, state-of-the-art multi-role fighter jet to supplement current jets in the air force. From sources inside the DSDH, HNS can confirm that the project is in its early stages, with blueprints and capabilities planning still happening. According to DSDH as well, a new tank is also in the works, although specifics are yet unknown. -- Emperor Approves New Funding for Healthcare The Emperor, today, approved $5 billion in funding for the Health Services (HS), which is expected to cover the funding gap expected from reduced funding in the past year. The funding gap was caused by the decision to fund environmental policies than healthcare, thus resulting in about $2.5 billion going to environment policy instead. However, with the environment in a good place right now, as well as less need to fund grassroots projects or to continually fund environmental groups, enough funding has been recuperated to devote it back to healthcare. The new funding will allow the HS to train more paramedics, of which there was a growing shortage, as well as allow the HS to upgrade their systems to reflect the increased capacity needs. The Doctors Union had this to say: "We are happy to have received the funding that we have gotten. It allows so many new opportunities for the HS so that we can continue to give the public access to great quality healthcare". ---
