Chancellor honors hero's of war

The Chancellor made a trip to the Peoples Hero Cemetery, which is the resting place of all soldiers in the Eflistan Military that have gave their lives for the State. In an address held in front of the Hero's Monument which has a list of all the names of those lost during the continued war effort the Chancellor stated, "All those that lay down their lives for the State are hero's of the people and of the State. They are the shining light in the darkness of a world filled with evil. We shall never forget the bravery and honor that these men and women showed or the lives they gave in the service of their families and their nation."

The Chancellor handed out medals to the family members of those that had earned them through the ultimate sacrifice of life for the State. Currently to date over 10,000 fallen Eflistan Soldiers lay at rest in the Cemetery. Though with constant warfare it is expected to reach higher in only a few days.

Shortfall of food production blamed on need for expansion

The Department of the Interior along with the Department of Agriculture announced that numbers show a shortfall in food production for the State of Eflistan in the coming months unless something is done to curve the downward trend. The Department of the Interior has stated that the need for new lands and expansion of Infrastructure to allow the construction of more State Farms would take care of the problem and would also bolster overall crop production. The Department of Agriculture has stated that they would agree to the expansion of the State Farms as well as increase production through more land, but they also blame the increased population boom recently a continued issue that effects their ability to produce food.

Officially the State has taken a loose stance on the issue of population control and for the most part does not openly engage in any attempt to control the population. Chancellor Asher has stated that several times in speeches and writs that, " now is not the time to worry about population growth, we are a small nation and need the people to ensure our nation grows and prospers."

There has been talk among the ruling party if population control is needed. The majority has stated that they are in agreement with the Chancellor with only a small amount speaking out saying that they believe that the State needs to "monitor the situations closely".
