In an earlier post this week I discussed using Slack as an alternative to IRC. I am now continuing this test after having some alliance response, but not quite enough to the point where I am satisfied.
Therefore I am opening up a new slack called Planet Orbis (orbispw.slack.com) that will be open to anyone who wants to try it out and test it out.
I must warn anyone who is interested in joining that your email will be visible to all other members, this is the one major downside to Slack!
Other than that, Slacks advantages over IRC (it even has IRC functionality) is far superior to anything we are using.
The whole theory of this transformation is to make chatting easier with teams and each other, while increasing the ease of secure communications and channels that don't require you to lead someone through all the /ns and /cs commands.
