New Podcast! Discussion of Overhauling the War System

In case anyone is interested, I just released a new podcast. No, I won't transcribe it so you don't have to listen; that would defeat the point of the podcast in the first place. If you don't want to listen to the podcast, that's fine, there's never anything vital in there. Just a sneak peak into my thoughts and possible intentions for the game.

Alex loving the black market idea, Morale concept, just the deploy mechanic is that going to apply to tanks,planes and ships as well?

Alex, have you considered implementing something like Training, where you can build up a small amount of morale by using munitions/gas to train your forces during peace time? I guess it could be capped at a small amount.

The occupation thing, if you occupy a nation are they incapable of declaring new wars while occupied? What would happen if a nation is defeated and occupied while also at war with other nations?

Random war on the normal server?? guess I missed the name being politics and war.. (everyone probably gonna peace this time) Excited to see a new battle formula. You as well said 1 day of beige earlier on and 3 days of war and then you changed it to 3 days beige? 

 

buying units every turn.. accounting for beige.. make sure one can fully restock mil in 16 hours (8 turns) to fully re-build mill during beige. (with this changing how much score would drop during war, you could actually attack back who attack you.) 

 

Otherwise it does sound like this will really liven up the server. 3 day wars, and 1 day beige sounds like a better time formula

One big problem I'd like addressed.

 

With the ability to sell military/nukes/missiles. You're not only dimming the point of the projects. You're also promoting nations who are in a range that can't literally be touched by anyone else. Have this leeway to support nations with no real consequences. I simply dread the thought of being able to buy missiles/nukes without having the project. It's an uncanny way to inflict damage. Or fight a small nation with no hope left because he's supported by 5 big nations.

 

Is the Black Market blockadable? If so, that would bring more value to ships and could be a POTENTIALLY nice system. I need to think more on it if you can confirm that or not.
